SIDES OF THE BRAIN.

The human brain has two hemispheres that are related to very diverse areas of activity and act very different, but complementary. Arguably, each hemisphere, in a sense, perceives their own reality.

We could say, in a way, that each of us has two minds connected and integrated by the cable of nerve fibers connecting the two hemispheres.

To perform any task you need to use both hemispheres, especially if it is a complicated task. What is sought is always the balance.

The balance is a result of reconciling polarities, not by trying to eliminate one of them.

Each cerebral hemisphere has a way of processing the information it receives:

         The left hemisphere analyzes over time.

         The right hemisphere synthesizes in space.

 

--LEFT HEMISPHERE--

• Is the logical side and language, is used to read a logical world, a world through language.
• Processes information analytically and sequentially, step by step in a logical and linear way.
• The left hemisphere analyzes, abstracts, counts, time, plans to step procedures, speaks and thinks in words and numbers, bone that contains the ability for math and reading and writing.
• This hemisphere employs a convergent thinking style, gaining new information by using data already available to form new ideas or data conventionally acceptable.
• Knows the time and its consequences. Is guided by the linear and binary logic.
• Analyzes the information step by step.
• Learns from part to whole and quickly absorbed the details, facts and rules.
• Wants to understand the components one by one.

---RIGHT HEMISPHERE---

• Analyzes the world in a creative, artistic and more subjective way, is a brain process less methodical, with more structure visually.
• Doesn’t exceed one feature to another, seeks patterns and gestalt. 
• The right hemisphere seems to specialize in global perception, synthesizing the information that reaches it.
• Is intuitive rather than logical, thinks in images, symbols and feelings. Is imaginative and fantastic, space and perception.
• Processes information in a comprehensive manner, based on the whole to understand the different parts that make up the whole.
• Learn from whole to part. To understand the parts needs to start from the global image.

• This method is fully efficient process for most visual-spatial tasks and to recognize musical melodies, as these tasks require the mind to build a sense of the whole to perceive a pattern in visual and auditory stimuli.

  ABSTRACT: Takes a small piece of information and uses it to represent the whole.	ANALOG: see the similarities between things, understand the metaphorical relationships.
  TEMPORAL: Follow the time, ordered things in sequence: start from the beginning, links the past with the future, etc.	TIMELESS: No sense of time, focusing on the present moment.
  RATIONALE: draws conclusions based on reason and data.	NO RATIONAL: do not need a reason, or based on facts, tends to delay trials.
  DIGITAL: Use numbers, such as counting	SPACE: Looks where things stand in relation to other things, and how they combine the parts into a whole.
  LOGIC: Their findings are based on logic; one thing follows another in a logical order.	INTUITIVE: Has sudden inspirations, sometimes based on incomplete patterns, clues, hunches, or visual images.
